EN documentnounStay with the conversation.
Live captions, translation and the right word when you need it. A workspace built around the way interpreters listen and work.
Two languages. One conversation.
Sample demonstration: English captions appear, with follow-up highlighted in blue for the glossary and 28th in yellow as a specific date. Spanish captions follow; selecting documento opens its Spanish dictionary definition and English equivalent, document. After the dictionary closes, the pointer clicks Translate and both translations appear beneath their originals. Let’s schedule a follow-up appointment on the 28th. Programemos una cita de seguimiento el día 28. ¿Debo llevar algún documento a la cita? Should I bring any documents to the appointment?

PRIVACY, BY DESIGN
The conversation
stays on your computer.
Audio, transcription, translation and dictionary searches are processed locally, without uploading call content to our servers.
Local processing
Your call is processed on your computer.
Protected views
Windows screen-capture exclusion helps protect sensitive app views.
Restricted copying
Copy, cut and drag-out are restricted on transcript and sensitive reference views.
Encrypted libraries
Saved scripts and glossaries use Windows user-bound encryption.
Temporary sessions
Live audio and text stay in memory, without a saved call recording.
Session clearing
Ending a session clears its audio, captions, translations and temporary references.
Built to support HIPAA-compliant workflows.
Privacy protections built into Murmur, supported by secure devices and responsible use.
Privacy details and responsibilities
Our responsibility
Maintain and test Murmur’s safeguards and address security issues. Audio, captions, translations, dictionary searches and personal libraries are not uploaded for processing or analytics.
Users and organizations
Secure the computer, keep Windows and Murmur updated, restrict access and lock unattended screens. Handle notes and files according to workplace policies. HIPAA-compliant use also depends on authorized use, risk assessment and appropriate organizational procedures.
Saved content and device security
Saved libraries, preferences and recovery drafts use Windows user-bound encryption (DPAPI). These remain after a session ends. Imported or exported files, backups, paging, hibernation and crash dumps need device-level protection; encryption does not secure a compromised Windows account.
Capture and copying protections
Normal mode requests Windows screen-capture exclusion and blocks sensitive views if the protection check fails. Copy, cut and drag-out are restricted on sensitive transcript and reference surfaces. Capture exclusion is best effort and cannot prevent every capture method.
A few practical questions.
Does Murmur record or upload my calls?
Call audio is processed in memory on your computer. Murmur does not provide a saved call recording or upload call content for speech, translation or analytics. Ending a session clears its temporary content.
How does Murmur support HIPAA-compliant work?
Murmur processes call content locally, encrypts saved libraries and restricts copying and screen capture. Compliant use also depends on secure devices, authorized use and appropriate user and organizational practices. The Privacy section explains the safeguards and responsibilities.
Do I need a dedicated GPU?
No. Speech and translation can run on the CPU. Compatible dedicated GPU acceleration for speech is optional; actual performance depends on your hardware.
Can I use my own terminology?
Yes. Manually create bilingual glossary entries or import a structured CSV or Excel glossary locally, then review it before saving. Entries can include definitions, aliases and acronym expansions.
Which languages and operating systems are supported?
Murmur focuses on English–Spanish interpreting on Windows. The interface is available in both languages. Other language pairs and operating systems are not part of this version.
Can I buy or download it here today?
Not yet. This page previews the product. Public pricing, account access, checkout and authorized downloads will be connected before launch.
